SCDOT to close, detour Racetrack Road bridge over Dildine Creek for replacement in Spartanburg County
Columbia, S.C. (November 3, 2026) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close and detour a portion of Racetrack Road (SC 234) to replace the bridge over Dildine Creek in Spartanburg County on Monday, November 9.
The road is expected to reopen mid-summer 2027, pending any weather delays.
A detour will be put in place due to the closure. A map of the detour can be found below.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
